I’ve got a review up on Amazon for Green Lantern Vol. 2: Revenge of the Black Hand. Geoff Johns continues to strong arm Green Lantern into one of the most prominent DC Comics superheroes today. A great read that has me itching for more.
Superman with a beard, Superman on fire, Metropolis having a bad day, General Zod, Superman flying… GENERAL ZOD! There’s still a lot we don’t know about the movie, but this looks like it could be quite epic or quite a disappointment.
The first thing that stood out was a lot of the scenes looked like they were filmed with a camera within a movie theater due to the lighting. Hopefully the entire film isn’t that… dark? Either way, I cannot wait to see this movie!
I typically read Science Fiction and Fantasy novels, and occasionally Thrillers and Mysteries, so Tangled Ashes, being a Drama and Historical Fiction genre, was quite a change of pace. The premise sounded interesting, which is why I decided to give it a shot. While Michèle Phoenix has a great writing style that makes reading this novel a breeze, the book suffers from having virtually no plot while meandering through the castle’s renovation for the majority of the novel as Becker and Jade provide enough drama to make things a little interesting.
This certainly strikes a different tone. Very grim, very appealing!
