A Parent’s Homework Never Ends

I picked up the comics section this past Sunday and found this Baby Blues strip that made me all warm and fuzzy inside:

While my girls can be a handful, I love being a dad. This comic strip has further solidified my will to being the best dad I can be to my girls, and perhaps one day, to the son I have not had. However, the boy to girl ratio in my family is 1:3, so that’s not likely to happen. A guy can still dream though, can’t he? Becky approached me last night and said that emotionally and mentally, she’s ready for baby number three. Coping with this has been a little bit of a struggle because I have come to enjoy the state of my family. We are approaching the point where we no longer need diapers, glory! So the thought of starting over again does not exactly seem exciting, but, I do love being a dad, so we will see how that goes…
